Price Alerts & Notifications
Set price alerts to receive notifications when the market reaches key levels — no need to stare at the screen all day.
Creating a Price Alert
- Go to the Terminal panel → "Alerts" tab
- Double-click the empty area or right-click → "Create"
- In the alert window, configure:
- Symbol: The currency pair (e.g. EURUSD)
- Condition: Bid/Ask greater or less than a price
- Value: The exact price you want to monitor
- Action: Sound, on-screen alert, email or push notification
- Click "OK" to activate the alert
Smart usage: Set alerts at the support/resistance levels you have identified. When price reaches that level, you will receive the alert and can switch to the chart to look for the ideal entry.
Push Notifications on Mobile
You can receive alerts directly on your smartphone even without MetaTrader open on the phone:
- Step 1: Install MetaTrader on your phone. Download the MetaTrader 4 or MT5 app from the App Store or Google Play. Log in with your account.
- Step 2: Get your MetaQuotes ID. In the mobile app: go to Settings → Messages → copy your MetaQuotes ID (an 8-digit number).
- Step 3: Configure on desktop MT4/MT5. Menu → Tools → Options → Notifications → enable push notifications and paste your MetaQuotes ID.
- Step 4: Create the alert with "Push Notification". When creating the alert, select "Push Notification" as the action. You will now receive notifications on your phone.
Managing and Deleting Alerts
- Temporarily disable: Right-click the alert → "Disable".
- Delete: Select the alert → press Delete, or right-click → "Delete".
- View triggered alerts: Alerts that have fired are recorded in the Alerts panel history.
